Sorry for the quiet. Some things are happeing, and I hope to have more frequent posts and updates in the upcoming weeks. . .

No monthly update from MusicYo just yet. My contacts there have been travelling but we hope to talk with them in the next two weeks.
One thing I have confirmed is regarding the parts. Seems many of the old parts were inventoried on the way into the now legendary trailer, but sadly were not individually marked. These are now bunched into two wrapped palettes and two stacked parts bins. Admittedly no one currently at Gibson has the experience or inclination to go through them. MusicYo has offered to let me personally go through them to find things guys have been asking for (bass TT parts, XL pivot plates, R-Trem pins & posts, etc.). Right now the hope is to head down to Summer NAMM. I'd take a day to tour the production facilites, meet with MusicYo staff, and go through those parts myself. If I do make the trip I will take a digital camera to document the tour for the websites.

I'm also happy to announce we are closer to having those Steinberger videos posted for download. I've gotten a couple volunteers to help with server space and bandwidth as mirror sites, and last week mailed out the HTML and various video segment on 2 CD's. Once we've got everything coordinated, installed and tested we'll add the links to this site and post the updates to the
Yahoo! Groups
forum and to here. These are mostly early to mid 80's items - a CNN News segment, a PBS documentary, an in-house produced promo video, and even a snippet from Bill & Ted's adventure!

Of special note is that the promotional video features Ned showing how to set up & operate the TransTrem. I must admit it's hard to figure out what's going on at first just by reading the directions. We're hoping the moving pictures will help folks along.

I'd also like to personally thank Stu Staley of ENC Media for converting all of that old VHS footage to digital for us!
